The 5E Factor is very relevant in organisations and in our personal lives. Organisations need great people and people do not become great by accident. For organisations to unlock the full potential of its people, meaningful action is required. It is true that people need to take responsibility for their own growth and development. However, one is too small a number to achieve greatness and so we all need guidance and support. Managers / Leaders need to be “5E CHAMPIONS.” This means that they need to Empower, Enlighten, Encourage and Engage their people while at the same time creating an environment where people can find Enjoyment and Fulfilment in the work that they are doing. Living out this 5E Recipe well, will result in a significant improvement in performance and results. This will have a positive impact on the success of the organisation.
At a Personal Level, we all need to become “5E Champions.” What does this actually mean? We all need to take ownership / responsibility for our progress in life. We cannot sit back and wait for other people to make the magic in our lives. Each of us need to be proactive in putting a plan together that will help each of us to unlock our full potential. We have to be hungry to ‘Give Life Our Best Shot.’ With the help of others, we need to become more empowered and enlightened. We also need to encourage ourselves and others. Positively engaging other people is a skill that all of us need. We need to involve other people in our lives and promote positive interactions with others on a daily basis.
I believe that every person needs to become a 5E Champion as it will positively impact their own lives and the lives of others.
